We are looking for some folks to join us
for the 2024 growing season!
We are a small farm, with just 3 acres in production. This means that the Farm Crew consists of 3-4 people, who spend a lot of time together keeping the farm running! We don’t utilize the tractor for field work very much, so most of the work is done by hand tools and body labor. This usually includes hoes, rakes, wheelbarrows and plenty of handwork. Our fields are full of diversity most of the year, which means we stay busy planting and harvesting every week, April - November in all kinds of weather. All our combined work supplies our veggies and fruits to our CSA and Farmers Market tables for the majority of the growing season. We’re located just 20 minutes NW of downtown Lawrence, KS.
Available Positions for 2024
A Farm Sharer
This position is an extension of our Farm Share. No farming experience is required, but a willingness to be part of a team and learn on the go is very important. We ask these folks to come out once a week, for 4 hours and in return we send you home with a bag full of the best from our fields. You get to be intimately connected with the food you eat, and help care for the land they grow on. This position usually includes harvesting, and sometimes other projects if there is time. The ability to work quickly, efficiently and in all different kinds of weather is important for this position. Typical shifts are from 8am-12pm on Tuesday or Friday.
To apply, please fill out our online form below. We’ll start interviews in February.
