So, to the nitty gritty, each share contains a value of $20 each week, lasting the 24 weeks of the share’s season. This is the base cost for the goodies and the payment plans are outlined below. Our Farm Share also requires a small membership fee of $40, as a placeholder for your share. This is to help with the initial cost of seeds, early spring labor and managerial expenses.
This year we will have two built in vacation weeks in the season, the week of the 4th of July and Labor Day weekend. We have found that these are the weekends when most folks take vacation, and you won’t be billed for these weeks. For the rest of the season, if you won’t be able to make it to pick up, please schedule to have a friend or family member pick up your share. Any unclaimed shares will be donated to Just Food, the local food bank in Lawrence. The payment will be your responsibility whether the share is picked up or not.
